Description
We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to join our Financial Lines team in Hong Kong.
As a Senior Underwriter, you will review, analyse, accept or reject risks of the Financial Lines business, especially in Directors & Officers Liability (D&O) and/or Professional Indemnity (PI) products. You will develop and maintain relationships with producers to encourage the submission of targeted business, obtain necessary underwriting information and promote satisfactory service. Additionally, you will identify process improvement plans and provide comments and feedback to address any blockages.
To qualify for this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines, although candidates with similar experience in law firms, accounting firms, financial services firms, or other relevant firms are also welcome
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
- High computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
