Description
The Government Affairs (GA) team at Visa seeks a Director, Head of Government Affairs to lead public sector relationships and policy thought leadership in Korea and Mongolia.
The successful candidate will be based in Seoul and report to the Senior Director, Japan, Korea and Mongolia (JKM) Head of Government Affairs, and the Country Manager for KRM.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a government engagement strategy for KRM
- Monitoring regulatory and political landscapes in KRM
- Managing relationships with key government officials
- Educating public sector stakeholders about Visa's value
- Recommending and managing third-party intermediaries
- Establishing and maintaining contacts with industry participants
The ideal candidate will have:
- 12+ years of government engagement experience
- Thorough knowledge of the Korean and preferably Mongolian Government
- Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships
- High standards for ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity
- Excellent presentation skills
- Fluency in Korean and English
This is a hybrid position with expectations of days in office to be confirmed by the hiring manager.
