Description
Juniper View has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team for a mix of day and night shifts. Due to the needs of our residents, you will need to have a full UK driving license.
As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in the recovery of our residents, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living tasks
- Encouraging and assisting participation in activities and community life
- Supporting service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose
- Maintaining accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes
- Building positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Upholding safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations
- Acting as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress
- Promoting choice, independence, and involvement at all times
- Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions
The role requires:
- A caring and respectful approach to supporting others
- Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies, and procedures
- A full UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years (for insurance purposes)
- Experience in care or support work (desirable, but not essential – training provided)
