Description
The Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division at 3M is seeking an Application Engineering Specialist to support the growth and execution of 3M's global Adhesives business.
The successful candidate will help bring new products, insights, and customer solutions to market by engaging with customers and field sales to provide technical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading voice of customer efforts to support new product development programs
- Identifying and communicating future market trends and product needs for the adhesives business
- Supporting liquid adhesive dispensing and spray automation
- Creating new application demonstration tools
- Training customers, sales reps, and international colleagues
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as Polymer/Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Two years of Application Engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Four years of laboratory environment experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Experience working with adhesives, adhesive test methods, and quality systems
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
The expected compensation range for this position is $145,676 - $178,049 per year.
