Description
Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team in its Issuing organization, which enables businesses to monetize spend through digital and physical card issuance.
The Engineering Manager will drive the technical roadmap for establishing an issuing program construct, build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, and act as a technical leader and domain expert for the banking product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the technical roadmap for the issuing program construct
- Building a best-in-class engineering team from the ground up
- Acting as a technical leader and domain expert for the banking product
- Coaching, mentoring, and building a high-performing team of engineers
- Working closely with Product Managers to manage project timelines and technical debt
- Maintaining a strong product mindset and understanding of clients' needs and the broader market landscape
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in people management
- Experience working in the FinTech domain with exposure to Issuing and/or Banking
- High technical bar and in-depth knowledge of building and scaling a world-class, API-based financial service
- Strong execution skills, effective communication, and stakeholder management
- Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple teams and external partners
The annual base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $243,000 in Chicago, plus RSUs.
