We’re looking for leaders who will lead transformation on the forefront. This isn't just a supervisory role; it's a critical leadership position where you'll have the power to shape culture, drive performance, and directly impact the quality and efficiency of our operations.
Work Schedule: This position requires the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
As a Production Supervisor- Joining you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing various joining and sealing processes within the body and assembly manufacturing process. You will ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to corporate standards. You will directly supervise and lead a team of joining Inspectors. You will conduct regular job observations to validate performance and ensure process adherence.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance
- Lead and direct a team of employees that consistently makes high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets
- Coordinate with the production team on containment activities or corrective actions for identified issues to minimize impact on production and quality
- Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency
- Apply for a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems
- Identify and analyze problems, develop and implement effective solutions, make timely and well-informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances
- Manage personnel resources and develop versatility within the joining operations team through training, scheduling, and performance management
- Utilize data and insights to strike down downtime and quality defects, driving quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality
- Maintain a relentless focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving processes, and driving innovation to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
- Proactively address conflicts fairly and effectively, facilitating mutually acceptable solutions
- Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with your team and all partners, including suppliers
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to deliver a robust preventative maintenance schedule for joining operations and collaborate on interim and permanent corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of equivalent experience of supervisory, manufacturing focused on joining and sealing operations with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends

- Bachelor's Degree in metallurgical engineering or related field
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the application of 8D, Statistical Process Control, and DMAIC Project Methodologies
- Ability to read prints, AutoCAD (Teamcenter preferred), 3D Modelling, 3D Printing
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, and Value Stream Mapping experience
- TQM and Kaizen methods experience
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) experience
- Visual Factory Management experience
- Knowledge of constraint management principles
- Experience working in a leadership role
- Experience working in a unionized environment
