Description
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at Target in India. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional experiences and value for our guests and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and approve end-to-end functionality of a product line, platform, or infrastructure
- Communicate and coordinate with project teams, partners, and stakeholders
- Analyze and optimize system capacity, performance, and operational health
- Maintain deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise
- Stay current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in software design and development with 3+ years of experience in building scalable backend applications using Java
- Demonstrated broad and deep expertise in Java/Kotlin and frameworks
- Experience integrating with third-party and open-source frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills with a good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Exposure to non-relational databases like MongoDB
- Exposure to distributed systems and microservice architecture
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Data Pipeline, ML Ops, Spark, Python
- Good understanding of the impact of own work on the team and/or guests
