Lead Software Engineer - Java

As a Lead Software Engineer - Java at Boeing India Private Limited, you will support the organization with meeting product commitments, MVP milestones, and provide technical leadership. You will participate in the development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.

• Estimate user stories/features and tasks with the required level of accuracy
• Contribute to the Backlog refinement meetings
• Work with the Product Owner to confirm that the code and acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality
• Raise any impediments/risks and update the status and remaining efforts for tasks
• Ensure change requests are treated correctly and tracked in the system
• Develop working software towards committed Team PI Objectives and Iteration plans
• Deliver working software in accordance with expected quality standards
• Design for testability and evolve the system to support testability and test automation
• Work on prototyping and evaluating technical feasibility

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or non-US equivalent qualifications
• Full stack developer with excellent programming skills in Java 8+, Spring Boot 3.x, Angular 12, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS
• Hands-on experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure
• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests using tools like Jest
• Asynchronous Programming: Proficiency in asynchronous programming concepts
• Debugging and Testing: Ability to effectively debug and test JavaScript code
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Web APIs: Understanding how to interact with various web APIs
• Good experience on Database technologies like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with Build and Deployment tools and languages
• Knowledge of integrating with Maven, Gradle and Shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps Practices
• Proficiency in Angular or React Native for cross-platform mobile development
• Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and platform-specific design guidelines
• Knowledge and/or experience of the Aviation Industry desirable
• Familiarity with Java software development
• Scripting experience with JavaScript, Python
