We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Red Court Care Home in Croydon. As a Care Assistant, you will be at the heart of our organisation, providing person-centred care that supports independence and honours choice.
Job Details:
- Location: Red Court Care Home, 27 Stanhope Road, Croydon, London CR0 5NS
- Salary: £13.10 - £14.10 per hour depending on experience
- Contract: Permanent, 33 hours per week, day shifts
About Red Court Care Home: Red Court is a listed building that has been sensitively modernised, providing nursing, residential, palliative, respite, and convalescence care. The home is situated in a peaceful neighbourhood near Croydon, surrounded by over an acre of landscaped gardens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
- Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
- Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
- Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
- Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
