Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our team at AVL Maroc SARL AU. As a Design Engineer, you will design and develop 3D components and assemblies for BIW, Interior, and Exterior applications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing 3D components and assemblies for BIW, Interior, and Exterior applications.
• Developing sheet metal and plastic components according to applicable automotive design standards and rules.
• Ensuring component integration and packaging within the vehicle environment.
• Defining and optimizing interfaces, mounting concepts, fastening systems, and functional clearances.
• Performing feasibility, clash, and integration analyses.
• Creating and updating 2D technical drawings, including functional dimensioning and GD&T.
• Performing tolerance stack-up analyses when required.
• Considering manufacturing and assembly constraints during the design phase, including DFM/DFA principles.
• Supporting design reviews and proposing technical solutions for product optimization.
• Managing CAD data, engineering changes, and technical documentation within the PLM environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• Professional experience in automotive mechanical design, preferably in BIW, Interior, and Exterior development.
• Good knowledge of CAD systems such as CATIA V5/V6, Creo, and 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Experience in sheet metal and plastic part design.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ISO dimensioning, and tolerance stack-up principles.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming, stamping, injection molding, and assembly processes.
• Experience with PLM systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
