WSP currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with strong Design experience to join our Perth office.
Due to sustained growth, our Perth office is looking to engage an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our Property and Buildings group.
You will scope and steer civil works from concept through detailed design and construction support, coordinate inputs from roads, drainage, utilities and pavements, and bring a pragmatic eye for buildability, safety and whole-of-life performance.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
- Work on iconic projects within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of civil engineering design projects.
- Manage ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients.
- Lead and deliver current civil engineering projects from inception through to construction in support of technical and commercial standards, and within time constraints and cost budgets.
- Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor to Masters’ level degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3-10 years industry experience in the Property and Building space.
- Commercial experience in Australia on local medium/large building civil engineering projects in a consulting environment is essential.
- Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector.
- Working knowledge of relevant Aus/NZ Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.).
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Design software (e.g., 12D, Civil 3D etc.).
- Sound client facing and account/relationship management skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including leading civil engineering teams.
- Chartered status with Engineers Australia, or willingness to obtain with WSP's support.
- Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential – only eligible to Australian Citizens.
