We are seeking a Sr Automation Tester to join our team at Barclays in Pune. As a Sr Automation Tester, you will design, develop, and improve software solutions using various engineering methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and devise solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed about industry technology trends and innovations.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Requirements
- Experience with automation engineering excellence, including designing and developing scalable automation frameworks.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Knowledge of Selenium, BDD/TDD, Cucumber, API automation, and other testing tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, shift-left testing, and continuous quality practices.
- Strong technical expertise in testing, including test strategy, delivery leadership, and risk management.
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance and non-functional testing, service virtualization, containerization, and cloud-native testing.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted testing, test data management, and synthetic data generation.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
