Description
We are seeking a 3D Design Technician to join our team in the mining industry. As a 3D Design Technician, you will work on mechanical and structural designs, develop 2D and 3D drawings, and collaborate with engineers and project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Understand client needs and requirements
- Create mechanical and structural designs
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings with views, sections, and cuts
- Integrate designs from various disciplines
- Coordinate with project technicians
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers
- Validate equipment clearances
- Archive drawings and maintain version control
- Provide technical support to clients
- Participate in project launches and propose solutions to complex problems
Requirements:
- Diploma in Industrial Drawing or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Good communication skills in French and ability to work in a team
- Analytical mindset, autonomy, and attention to detail
