Working as a Guest Advocate at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, greeting guests, and exceeding their expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Greet guests, smile, make eye contact, or wave
- Help guests find what they need and resolve issues
- End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
- Make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering
- Attempt every return or exchange and follow register prompts
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store open hours
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Support guest services such as order pick-up and Drive-up orders

- Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role
- Open to working a flexible work schedule
- Communicate effectively, including using positive language and being attentive to guests' needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Work both independently and with a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
