Description
Working as a Guest Advocate at Target means helping guests have an easy, inspiring, and friendly shopping experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving any issues that may arise.
As a Guest Advocate, you will:
- Create a welcoming guest experience by delivering on commitments
- Greet guests, smile, make eye contact, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
- Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
- End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application, sign-up, and sign-in as needed
- Be familiar with all fulfillment services, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate, and use them
- Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and other features and offerings within the Target App
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed to help solve issues for the guest while following Target's policies and procedures
- Partner with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies and procedures
- Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible

The starting hourly rate for this role is $16.50 USD per hour.
