Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Hyderabad. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for leading the month-end close of various accounting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, SOX controls, and documentation. You will also work closely with our internal and external audit teams to support the audit process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close of various accounting processes, including commission accounting
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, SOX controls, and documentation
- Work with internal and external audit teams to support the audit process
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to automate revenue accounting processes
- Manage a team at various levels to accomplish tasks accurately and within specified deadlines
- Prepare schedules to support monthly reviews, quarterly audit, and SOX walkthroughs
- Partner with other Finance functions to ensure alignment
- Train, develop, coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
Requirements:
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting operations/transitions/shared service center
- Deep understanding of US SOX Compliance requirements
- Strong domain expertise in US GAAP, ASC 606, and other commission accounting principles
- Understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn quickly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
