Description
The Event Director is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and production of Soho House Primary Events in the UK, Europe, and Asia.
Main duties include:
- Event Strategy & Delivery: overseeing the production and delivery of multiple events happening concurrently across UK, EU & Asia
- Budget Management: managing budgets and making decisions to ensure costs are managed efficiently
- Project Team Management: leading and managing a cross-functional project team
- Event Production: producing events and experiences as required
- Diversity & Inclusion: delivering progress on the D&I pledge
- Current Trends: staying on top of trends in event curation and technologies
- ROI / Post-event Management: managing post-event evaluation and stakeholder communications
- Partnerships: working with the Events & Partnerships team to deliver sponsorship and ticketing revenues
Requirements and qualifications:
- 10+ years' experience in large-scale event production
- Solid understanding of budget creation, cost control, and expense reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in managing multiple projects and people simultaneously
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Experience of successfully managing a cross-functional project team
- Hospitality/F&B experience is a bonus
- Global experience producing events in multiple regions is a bonus
- Excellent network of talent, venues, producers, agencies, and supplier contacts
