Description
WPVI-TV, a Disney/ABC–owned television station in Pennsylvania, is the most-watched television station in the Philadelphia Television market. As the WPVI Technology Intern, you will work with Broadcast Engineers, IT Specialists & Project Managers to roll out new Broadcast and IT equipment and tackle broadcast issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist in crafting and maintaining broadcast, IT, and newsroom systems
- Help roll out new Broadcast and IT equipment
- Tackle broadcast issues as they arise
Requirements
- Familiarity with basic video production, including equipment installation
- Understanding of television production workflows
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective time management and organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with broadcast production & distribution systems
- Understanding of the network affiliate relationship model
- Previous work or internship experience in television
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Video Production, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree and taking at least one class at the time of application
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program
- At least 18 years of age
- Unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The internship runs from January 2027 to June 2027
- 20 hours of work per week
- Ability to provide own housing in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area
- Reliable transportation to and from work

The pay rate for this role in Pennsylvania is $23.00 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package.
