Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Matthews, NC, you will utilise advanced clinical expertise to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Administering oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications
• Evaluating complex patient conditions, monitoring pain levels, and documenting treatment responses
• Applying advanced knowledge of vital sign monitoring to identify and record abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
• Performing routine assessments to monitor patient health and ensure overall well-being
• Managing patient access to healthcare and connecting individuals with community resources for medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management
• Conducting medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions
• Developing and administering mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behaviour, and cognitive function
• Accurately documenting patient medical history using electronic health records
• Using excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Keeping an organised, well-stocked, clean clinic at all times

Qualifications:

• Active and in good standing state LVN or LPN license
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical documentation standards
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience working in a clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics among staff and patients
• Proven ability to manage sensitive information ethically and responsibly
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred

Educational Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a State-approved Practical or Vocational nursing program
• Successful completion of the NCLEX-PN (National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses)

The typical pay range for this role is: $22.40 - $48.67 per hour.
