Description
We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to design shipping containers that maximize CBM utilization in transportation.
As a Packaging Engineer, you will bring new innovative ideas for packaging styles, materials, and technologies based on industry trends and emerging advancements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing shipping containers to maximize CBM utilization in transportation
- Developing and implementing comprehensive assessment plans to evaluate supplier dunnage fleet calculators
- Conducting benchmarking of packaging practices across North American, European, and International Markets Group (IMG) plants
- Utilizing advanced Packaging Design-oriented simulation tools to identify optimal packaging solutions
- Driving the development and implementation of environmentally sustainable packaging solutions
- Serving as the primary liaison with suppliers, plant packaging teams, and purchasing functions
Requirements:
- Engineering or other technical degree required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Packaging development and implementation
- Working knowledge in Pack assist or similar packaging related software's
- Hands-on knowledge in Ansys, CATIA, CAD, and packaging material selection
- Good knowledge in various packaging methods across industries
- Proficient in System/App – CMMS, MS Project, Access, Excel, Word, Power BI, Power Apps, Python
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience in packaging development in FMCG, Automotives, pharma, e-commerce companies
- Proven packaging design skill sets
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
