You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a mixed modality learning plan designed to further develop your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, filling prescriptions promptly and accurately, and providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Key responsibilities:
- Contributing to safe and effective operations of the pharmacy
- Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation
- Providing empathetic and genuine care to patients
- Offering to counsel patients and fielding medical questions
- Taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying prescriptions with prescribers
- Maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching and training to team members
- Completing basic inventory activities
- Contributing to a high-performing team and being receptive to feedback
Requirements:
- Foreign graduate from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy
- FPGEC certification
- Pharmacist licensure in the state where the position is based within 120 days of completing US Intern hours
- Valid intern and/or technician licensure
Preferred qualifications:
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
The typical pay range for this role is: $30.00 - $42.00
