Description
Working as a General Merchandise Expert at Target means being part of a team that prioritises guest experience and enables a consistent experience for customers.
The role involves ensuring product is available and easy to shop, including replenishment, pricing, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom.
Responsibilities:
- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience
- Greet guests, help them find what they need, and resolve issues
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas
- Execute daily tasks, such as receiving products, restocking shelves, and organising the backroom
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
- Learn and execute operational procedures, such as setting and organising merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels
- Follow all Target policies and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
