Description
Leidos is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team for missile defense systems.
The role involves supporting testing and validation activities for embedded systems within complex technical environments. You will need extensive software testing and automation experience, with a strong background in Python scripting, debugging, and test framework development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support testing and validation activities for embedded systems
- Troubleshoot across embedded software, networking, hardware interfaces, and automated test environments
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program stakeholders to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of embedded system applications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 12+ years of experience in software testing, integration, and verification of embedded systems
- Active secret security clearance
- Experience with Python scripting and debugging
- Experience with software automation testing and automated test environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test procedures for embedded software applications
- Design and implement automation frameworks and test harnesses
- Perform testing within simulated environments, HWIL, and SIL test environments
- Validate interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware components
- Conduct post-analysis of complex test data and generate detailed findings and reports
The pay range for this role is $131,300.00 - $237,350.00.
