Description
We are seeking a Lead – Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Adelaide Mining team. As a Lead Electrical Engineer at WSP, you will lead and coordinate electrical engineering teams across multiple projects, provide oversight of project deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource planning, and ensure quality, consistency, and on-time delivery of engineering outputs.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating electrical engineering teams across multiple projects.
- Providing oversight of project deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
- Ensuring quality, consistency, and on-time delivery of engineering outputs.
- Working closely with Project Managers to identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Mentoring and developing engineers at various stages of their careers.
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting bids, proposals, and project planning activities.
- Contributing to the ongoing growth and capability of the Adelaide Mining team.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering projects within mining, resources, or heavy industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing engineering deliverables.
- Strong understanding of project execution, resourcing, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- The ability to balance technical requirements with commercial and delivery objectives.
- Proven experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, with eligibility for professional accreditation.
