Localisation Producer - Agency Contract

Playground Games is looking for a Localisation Producer to work alongside their talented Forza Horizon team in Leamington Spa on an agency contract.

As a Localisation Producer, you will collaborate with internal development teams and external localisation and QA partner teams to deliver a high-quality localised experience for players. You will manage the localisation pipeline, schedule, and budget, identify risks, oversee quality, and strive to improve production methods.

Responsibilities:

• Be the key contact for all localisation enquiries for Forza Horizon.
• Organise and drive the localisation schedule with development teams and external partners.
• Manage the localisation budget, ensuring spending is planned and tracked.
• Become an expert in existing text and localisation pipelines and tools.
• Refine and evolve pipelines and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Evaluate text/VO additions and alterations to ensure accurate translations.
• Take ownership of the game-term glossary, context usage, and style guidelines.
• Promote best practices in development to maintain high production standards.
• Oversee a quality approach to localisation, improving processes and maintaining standards.
• Coordinate feedback from localisation partners, QA, and development staff.
• Make manual updates for English strings resulting from script or UI changes.
• Take ownership of managing and resolving localisation bugs.
• Problem-solve issues resulting from localisation hand-backs.

Requirements:

• Previous localisation management experience with driving process, schedule, and quality for multiple languages.
• 3+ years of experience working on large-scale AAA games with active live-programs.
• Experience with multi-platform titles and platform-specific terminology.
• Pro-active, organised, and detail-focused attitude.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Genuine passion for video games.
• Interest in driving games and the Forza Horizon franchise is a plus.
• Experience with the Gridly localisation package is desirable.
