Description
We are seeking a Specialist 2/ Vice President to join our Markets – Securities Finance Operations team in Hong Kong.
In this role, you will support the daily processing and monitoring of securities lending transactions, including loan settlements and collateral management. You will manage the recall process of securities loans from borrowers, ensuring timely communication and follow-up to meet APAC market timelines. Additionally, you will monitor and manage fails, coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve issues efficiently, and support the execution and management of buy-in processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily processing and monitoring of securities lending transactions
- Manage recall process of securities loans from borrowers
- Monitor and manage fails and coordinate with internal teams and external counterparties
- Support execution and management of buy-in processes
- Act as liaison between trading desks, clients, and counterparties
- Process, monitor, and analyze transactions
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Perform reconciliations to third parties and analyze breaks
- Respond to client queries and resolve straightforward inquiries
- Identify and escalate complex transactions and issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide recommendations on basic inquiries
- Contribute to team objectives and operational excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
- 4+ years' experience in Securities Finance, Middle Office, Operations, or related financial services roles
- Basic understanding of securities lending concepts
- Familiarity with APAC market practices and settlement timelines is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach
- Experience/Acumen towards Operations and Technology initiatives
