Description
As a BSMI Officer, you will be part of the team delivering day-to-day systems and operational support to Education services, helping ensure that business systems are reliable, data is accurate and users can carry out their responsibilities effectively.
Working under the direction of the Product Lead, you will support the design, configuration and implementation of solutions that improve operational efficiency and data quality.
You will work closely with service teams to understand requirements, configure systems, and support delivery of change. This includes supporting system testing, user acceptance testing, and ensuring smooth transition into business-as-usual operations.
The role will involve working across a range of systems and processes, providing hands-on support and ensuring that solutions are delivered in a controlled and structured way.
You will have experience providing systems, administrative or operational support, ideally within a local authority, Education service or similar public sector environment.
Responsibilities:
- Have experience using business systems and supporting users with queries or system-related issues.
- Be confident investigating problems, identifying potential causes and working with others to find solutions.
- Have good attention to detail and understand the importance of accurate data, record keeping and reporting.
- Be able to follow established processes, undertake system checks and support testing of changes and enhancements.
- Have good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with different teams.
- Be comfortable learning new systems, following procedures and adapting to changing service needs.
