Description
We are seeking a Licensing & Digital Media Officer to join our Markets, Shop Fronts & Street Trading Service under the Climate, Homes & Economy directorate. As a Licensing & Digital Media Officer, you will manage administrative processes and shape the borough's unique character by supporting traders and market sites.
The role is divided into two main parts:
Licensing & Business Support (60% of the role) You will deliver statutory licensing and registration functions, issue and renew street trading licences, maintain digital database records, guide local entrepreneurs through the licensing journey, reconcile licence payments, recover arrears, and prepare documentation for the Officer Licensing Panel.
Digital Media & Communications (40% of the role) You will plan, film, edit, and publish engaging content across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook to drive data-informed campaigns that boost footfall and trader applications. You will manage daily digital community interactions, highlight independent business vendors, mentor local traders to build their online marketing confidence, produce monthly performance analytics, and deliver priority campaigns around climate action and local economic recovery.
The salary for this role is GBP 35,493 - 37,077 per year.
