Description
Pfizer's Specialty Care Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) team is seeking a Director, Field & Account Strategy: a senior individual contributor who drives field and account strategy across the Specialty Care portfolio through the insights and analytics that inform it.
The Director is a trusted thought partner to sales leadership, National Sales Directors, the Customer Engagement Platform (CEP), and key and national account teams, translating field execution, account performance, and customer intelligence into analyses that sharpen deployment, targeting, and account strategy.
Role Responsibilities
Field Enablement & Execution Effectiveness
- Design and continuously refine a field alert strategy that delivers real-time, data-driven signals to field-based, customer-facing colleagues through various tools.
- Evaluate alert performance and patient signals, and iterate on business rules to maximize commercial relevance and rep adoption.
- Partner with Enablement, CRM, Brand, Operations, and Technology teams to inform tools and capabilities that improve executional excellence, precision targeting, and field effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on measured impact.
Field Force Sizing, Structure & Deployment
- Conduct the analysis that informs sales-force size, structure, territory alignment, resource allocation, and deployment for the brand's field-based colleagues.
- Use advanced analytics to assess sales-force effectiveness and recommend actionable improvements to sales leadership.
Account & Customer Analytics
- Serve as the analytics partner to account teams, delivering account-level insights on market dynamics, growth potential, and competitive activity at key accounts.
- Provide the analytics that support Key Account Directors and National Account Directors, including performance metrics, market-potential assessments, and competitive dynamics reviews.
- Inform integrated account planning and customer segmentation with rigorous analysis.
Partnership & Collaboration
- Bring rigor and momentum to cross-functional work, mobilizing partners through clear framing and the quality of the thinking rather than formal authority.
- Build analytics fluency across sales and account partners, and mentor and share best practices with junior IIS colleagues.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial analytics, commercial strategy, management consulting, or a combination thereof.
- Demonstrated track record of high-value, proactive brand consultancy: framing, designing, and delivering analytic solutions for challenging and ambiguous business situations.
- In-depth command of multiple analytic disciplines, with a keen sense of what strong, timely, and high-quality insight looks like.
- Exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity, a spirit of innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking, with a bias toward proactively surfacing the sharper question and the next opportunity.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with both marketing and sales or field organizations, and translating brand strategy into marketing and field analytics and recommendations.
- Experience with field-effectiveness and account analytics, including familiarity with field-force sizing and structure, territory alignment and deployment, CRM, and customer or account planning.
- Experience integrating and interpreting commercial data sources such as claims, specialty pharmacy, CRM, market access, account, and performance data.
- Demonstrated ability to move cross-functional work forward and drive alignment across senior stakeholders through influence rather than formal authority.
- Outstanding listening and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and elevate the quality of decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the presence to partner credibly with senior brand and portfolio leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.

- Hands-on familiarity with AI tools in commercial settings, including LLMs, decision-support applications, or analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Pfizer GCA capabilities (QBR, OAE, Growth Blueprint) or comparable commercial analytics methodologies.
Benefits
- Comprehensive and generous benefits and programs to help colleagues lead healthy lives and support each of life's moments.
- 401(k) plan with Pfizer Matching Contributions and an additional Pfizer Retirement Savings Contribution.
- Paid vacation, holiday and personal days.
- Paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
- Health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage.
