Description
Join Flexport's engineering team in Bellevue, building and enhancing the client-facing rates platform and self-serve freight booking experience.
You will work on features that move the company from an assisted-sales model to a tech-run one for the long tail of clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain systems within a microservices architecture.
- Own the entire lifecycle of a feature, from database schema design to building React-based frontend applications.
- Support AI model integration and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams.
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain high-quality standards.
- Build highly available, secure, and distributed systems.
- Rapidly build and launch products incrementally.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Full-stack capability with experience in databases, backend services, and frontend frameworks.
- Technical rigor with a passion for simple, well-tested code.
- AI familiarity with experience or interest in working with AI APIs.
- Proficiency with modern programming languages and cloud infrastructure.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with elements of Flexport's tech stack.
- Experience in fintech, pricing engines, or booking systems.
- Logistics or supply chain experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The US base salary range for this position is $147,000-$183,000 USD.
