Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Services team at Mastercard. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and developing an Analytic Foundation, a suite of commercialized analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience in an agile production environment and expertise in leading the design and implementation of large, complex features.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and development of an Analytic Foundation
- Design and implement intuitive, responsive UIs for issuers to better understand data and analytics
- Build and maintain analytics and data models to enable performant and scalable products
- Mentor junior software engineers and teammates
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Customer Experience Designers to develop a deep understanding of users and use cases
Requirements:
- 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience in an agile production environment
- Experience leading the design and implementation of large, complex features in full-stack applications
- High proficiency in using Python or Scala, Spark, Hadoop platforms & tools (Hive, Impala, Airflow, NiFi, Scoop), SQL
- Experience in building and deploying production-level data-driven applications and data processing workflows/pipelines
