Description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Network Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its Enterprise Network Operations SRE team in Israel. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing a reliable and efficient network infrastructure. You will solve complex network challenges using hands-on debugging, focusing on network automation, observability, documentation, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Own the operational aspect of the network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Partner with architecture and deployment teams to guarantee new implementations are supportable and align with production standards.
- Minimize manual operational tasks to achieve and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Monitor network performance, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement refinements.
- Collaborate with domain experts to resolve production issues swiftly and effectively.
- Discover opportunities for operational improvements and devise solutions to enhance excellence and sustainability in network operations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate network risks.
- Conduct blameless postmortems and follow through on Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
- Develop knowledge base articles for automation and bots.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of industry practice in network operations or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in network fundamentals and fixing complex network issues.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Telemetry, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, BigPanda.
- Experience in automating networks using frameworks such as Salt, Ansible, Python, or similar.
- Skills with ServiceNow, Jira, and foundational knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Knowledge of Linux system fundamentals.
- Detailed problem-solving approach, critical thinking, and good interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Track record of taking operational signals to solve operational challenges.
- Experience with Mellanox/Cumulus Linux, Cisco/Arista, Palo Alto firewalls, Versa SDWAN, Netscalers, and F5 load balancers.
- Technical proficiency in Python, Go, or related programming languages.
- Proficient knowledge of one or more network technologies: VXLAN/EVPN at Scale, MPLS, RSVP, Segment Routing, SDWAN, SASE Platforms.
