Description
Ajax Systems, a global technology company and Europe's largest security system manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer to join its System division. The team is responsible for creating and developing the Ajax software ecosystem, including OS Malevich and Video Management System, as well as building a scalable cloud infrastructure and client applications.
The successful candidate will work on developing Ajax's proprietary operating system, RTOS Malevich, focusing on system components, low-level programming, interaction with hardware, and performance optimization. This is an opportunity to contribute to the technological foundation of the Ajax ecosystem, influence system architecture, and create solutions that impact the reliability and security of devices used by millions of users.
Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle development of embedded software, including design, implementation, code review, documentation, testing, and validation
- Collaborate with QA and engineers to identify and resolve issues
- Work with electrical engineers to validate new hardware
- Modernize the framework for new devices and participate in OS Malevich releases
- Research and develop new functionality under high technical requirements
- Participate in design decisions for high-performance and reliable embedded systems
- Create modular and functional tests
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial IoT product development
- Experience with FreeRTOS, TIrtos, or baremetal programming
- Familiarity with STM32 processors
- Knowledge of embedded coding techniques, interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART), and subsystems
- Experience with ARM Cortex architecture
- Proficiency in C programming language
- Understanding of operating systems, particularly real-time operating systems
- Experience with complex embedded system setup and validation, as well as protocol stacks
Nice to Have:
- Experience with RF-module programming and low-power wireless solution development
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Multitasking skills and ability to switch between projects efficiently
- Basic electronics knowledge, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters
