Description
IOM is seeking a Junior Consultant for Inclusive Climate Adaptation and Stakeholder Engagement Support to integrate human mobility considerations into national climate adaptation planning in North Macedonia.
The consultant will provide technical expertise, facilitate consultations, and support the organization of technical meetings and workshops with relevant ministries and institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical meeting documentation, including agendas, background materials, presentations, and concise meeting summaries.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations, prepare consultation agendas, guiding questions, supporting materials, and summaries.
- Provide written inputs to the NAP and adaptation-relevant documents, including draft technical comments, background notes, proposed text, and recommendations.
- Submit monthly progress reports and timesheets.
- Deliver a final consultancy report summarizing the work undertaken, outputs delivered, key findings, lessons learned, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- University degree in environmental studies, sustainable development, social sciences, business administration, management, communications, international development, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in project support, sustainable development, environmental initiatives, communications, research, or community engagement.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability, climate action, and eco-leadership.
- Training or demonstrated knowledge in gender mainstreaming, inclusive policy design, and gender-responsive approaches to development.
- Fluency in Macedonian and English is required.
