Market Street Butcher
We are Morrisons, a leading UK supermarket chain, and we're looking for a skilled Market Street Butcher to join our team in Chester.
Our fresh counters are a vital part of what makes Market Street special. As a Market Street Butcher, you will prepare high-quality British meat for our local customers every day, using your skilled craft to serve up top-notch products.
In this role, you will handle, cut, and present meat to company specifications, assisting both in-store and online shoppers in getting exactly what they need for their meals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, highlighting our fresh products and preparing custom cuts for customers
- Cut, bone, steak, dice, mince, season, and wrap meat primals to exact company specifications using specialist equipment
- Maintain vibrant displays, keeping fresh meat counters and pre-packaged displays well-stocked, fresh, and attractive throughout the trading day
- Ensure operations are safe and smooth, working safely with specialist tools and upholding strict health, safety, and hygiene standards

Requirements:
- Experienced in cutting, boning, and preparing different meats to a high standard
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and confident using butchery equipment safely
- Friendly, approachable, and always happy to use your initiative to support customers and answer product queries
- Happy to lend a helping hand across other Market Street fresh counters to support store colleagues
