Systems Engineer (Experienced OR Lead)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking System Engineers to support the SEIT Integration & Certification in Hazelwood, MO. As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with subject matter experts across the program to design and develop a cutting-edge, highly integrated weapons system.

Responsibilities:

• Regularly brief customers and Boeing leadership on technical approach, progress, and help needed
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
• Perform various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
• Develop the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues

Travel may be required up to 20% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 4+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development
• Experience with Mission Systems and Weapon System development
