Mastercard’s Services - Portfolio Intelligence Program is seeking a Lead Software Development Engineer to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of high-performance analytics platforms.
The role involves:
- Driving technical leadership across the software development lifecycle
- Mentoring and developing engineers
- Articulating technical decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders
- Delivering high throughput and velocity without compromising engineering quality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
- Championing best practices in software engineering
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience
- Demonstrable track record of technical growth and increasing ownership
- Proven capability to mentor and develop engineers
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong experience in software development for data-driven backend applications
- Expertise in Java and proficiency with frontend technologies like ReactJS
- Advanced object-oriented programming skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
Preferred experience includes leading the design and implementation of scalable software systems, managing CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with testing RESTful APIs.
