Description
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Power Engineer II to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. As a Power Engineer II, you will be an Individual Contributor within the Power Systems Development team, designing portions of engineering solutions for power delivery based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Design portions of engineering solutions for power delivery
- Investigate suitable components for key design initiatives
- Design, simulate, and capture schematics of power circuit blocks
- Assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of power circuit testing
- Participate in Functional Specification and Design Review sessions
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners
- Participate as a member of project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on analog design techniques and a specialization in Power Design Engineering
- Experience with schematic capture and simulation tools (including SPICE)
- Familiarity with PCB Layout tools and techniques
- Knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C
- Firmware design experience
- Typically 0-2 years work experience
- Using electrical design tools and software packages
- Substantial experience with basic Electronic Lab Equipment and test methods
- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Designing electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms
- Using empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
