Part-Time Mission Analysis Engineer

We are seeking a Part-Time Mission Analysis Engineer to join our team at Millennium Space Systems, a leading small satellite company focused on national security space. As a member of the Mission Analysis Engineering Team, you will contribute to modeling, simulation, and analysis for a program, study, or proposal. You will develop methods to simulate mission scenarios and assess end-to-end constellation capabilities; design and deploy image processing, inertial tracking, state estimation, and optimal control algorithms for sensor systems; and provide tools and modeling platforms for validating system performance during on-orbit mission operations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and Design Reference Missions (DRMs) from key customer requirements
• Modeling and simulation of satellites, constellations, and system-of-systems
• Design and integration of mission data processing algorithms
• Development and validation of the satellite/constellation mission, as well as the predicted technical performance metrics (TPMs) for the program

Requirements:

• Working towards Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Familiarity with MATLAB and/or Python
• Familiarity with aerospace systems design, orbital dynamics, and/or mathematical modeling
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
• Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or after August 2026

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)
• Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills
• Strong technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research or engineering internships
• Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to engineering, aerospace and a career with Boeing
• Junior or Senior class standing

Salary Range: $21.15 /hr – $30.77 / hr
