Lead Quality Engineer

The Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for creating and executing comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies and solutions, focusing on data validation, integrity testing, and quality assurance across multiple platforms and interfaces.

This role ensures high-quality application delivery in a fast-paced environment while providing technical expertise and mentorship to team members. The position partners with development, architecture, and business teams to deliver robust solutions in a dynamic financial services environment focused heavily on data integrity and lineage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies and automated testing solutions for data validation across multiple platforms, interfaces, and ETL processes
• Design and implement automated test scripts and AI agents using industry-leading tools
• Create and maintain test management documentation; define, track, and report on quality metrics
• Review and enhance data testing strategies for new and existing data initiatives;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into executable testing scenarios and validation rules
• Manage defect tracking workflows and coordinate resolution with development and business teams
• Work closely with vendors to implement testing solutions
• Recommend improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams
• Own test data management strategy and automation; ensure test data is properly provisioned, maintained, and compliant with data governance policies

Requirements:

• 6+ years of hands-on test automation experience automating web, mobile, and API layers
• 5+ years of experience working with and testing relational Databases.
• 3+ years of experience leading end-to-end test strategy creation and execution across multiple ecosystems
• Strong proficiency with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) & strong understanding of BDD principles
• Deep knowledge of the various types of testing, from functional testing to performance and security testing
• Proven experience in test data management strategy, provisioning, and automation; understanding of data governance and compliance requirements
• Proven ability mentoring team members (onshore & offshore) and providing technical direction
• Proficiency with Git version control, branching strategies, and strong experience testing and working in continuous delivery (CICD) environment.
• Experience with test management tools (Azure Test Plans, Jira QMetry) and quality metrics reporting

Nice-to-have:

• Experience using AI tools like Copilot for test design, test automation, or test data generation
• Experience creating AI agents within the data testing and/or test data space
• Experience using Data validation tools like QuerySurge and Informatica suite
