Description
We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Programs Team in Virginia Beach, VA.
You will coordinate, review, and approve electrical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying high-level electrical engineering techniques to identify improvements for various project phases
- Planning and incorporating future-ready techniques, concept development, and operating strategies
- Managing cross-functional teams of engineers on mid-level and multiple concurrent projects
- Preparing comprehensive technical reports and presentations
- Developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer
- Professional Engineering license
- US citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government Secret clearance
- Extensive knowledge of electrical design, particularly in the DOD industry
- Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, and software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
Preferred qualifications:
- Active US Government Secret Security Clearance
- Experience managing small to mega-size projects
- Additional certifications such as LEED AP and PMP
