Description
This internship is designed for recent graduates who want to start a career in technical presales on enterprise networking.
As an Intern Systems Engineer, you will join the Italian presales team and learn how technology turns into customer solutions. You will work side by side with experienced Systems Engineers, with a dedicated mentor and a structured training plan, gaining real exposure to customers, partners, and the full sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the HPE Networking portfolio (wired and wireless LAN, SD-WAN, SASE, network access control, cloud, and AI-driven management) through structured training and hands-on labs
- Support Systems Engineers in preparing and delivering presentations and product demonstrations to customers and partners
- Take part in customer meetings, workshops, and proof-of-concepts, helping with lab setup, configuration, and test documentation
- Contribute to technical documentation: solution designs, bills of materials, answers to technical requirements in tenders
- Participate in internal enablement sessions and work toward your first vendor certifications
Requirements:
- Recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi
- Basic understanding of network security and cloud concepts
- Strong curiosity for technology and willingness to learn fast
- Good communication skills and interest in customer-facing roles
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Good knowledge of English, spoken and written; fluent Italian
Nice to Have:
- Entry-level certifications (e.g., CCNA, HPE/Aruba ACA, Juniper JNCIA) or related university courses
- Thesis, projects, or lab experience on networking, security, cloud, or automation
