Description
Working as a Target Security Specialist means helping to keep guests, team members, and the brand secure. You will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and resolve theft and fraud, and respond to crisis events. As a Security Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a welcoming and helpful experience for guests
- Responding to security incidents and documenting them accurately
- Using de-escalation tactics to resolve conflicts
- Conducting merchandise receipt checks and recovering stolen items
- Working with team members and law enforcement to prevent theft and shortage
- Using Target's video surveillance system and case management systems
- Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Enjoy interacting with and helping others
- Be able to work in a fast-moving, physically demanding environment
- Be flexible and able to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
- Have effective communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team
The starting hourly rate for this role is $17.75 USD per hour.
