Description
We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Thatcham Court Care Home in Thatcham. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents, assisting the chefs to plate meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
The salary for this role is £13.30 - £14.30 per hour, depending on experience. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be required to monitor stock rotation, comply with company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines. You will also assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a passion for food, previous experience working in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You should be able to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home.
