Pharmacist

This pharmacist role at Omnicare, a CVS Health company, will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to centres.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure medications dispensed are clinically appropriate
• Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
• Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities
• Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders
• Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labelling
• Prepare and/or provide supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, as required
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs
• Be knowledgeable of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business
• Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA

Requirements:

• Licensed pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, active and in good standing
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy

Schedule:

• Full-time position offering 33 to 36 hours per week
• Schedule will be Monday-Friday variable shifts, based on the needs of the business spanning day/mostly evening shifts
• The weekend rotation is every third/fourth
• There is no on-call requirement
