Leidos Defense Manufacturing Sector is seeking a Director Production Control to join its manufacturing support team located in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Control leader to manage site PC Managers and drive tactical, standardization of material requisitioning and production planning across its growing, nine manufacturing sites.
The Director Production Control will lead teams overseeing all manufacturing production control activities, including preparing and executing MRP, level-loading capacity across production work centers, firming purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders, establishing correct order policies based on Make-Buy and commodity types, and maintaining accurate lead times in the ERP part master table. This requires coordination with configuration management, manufacturing engineering mBOM releases, and production scheduling.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field, and at least 12 years of production control experience. Experience with the Costpoint ERP system, as well as PLM, MES, and capacity planning software programs, is required. The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Teams.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record developing and driving adherence to standardized, tactical execution processes
- Experience working in multiple phases of the product life cycle
- US Citizenship and a Final Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain one
Preferred qualifications include:
- MBA or MS degree
- Solumina MES experience
- Dynafact Manufacturing System (DMS) capacity planning experience
- Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification
- CPIM, CSCP, or CPM Certification
- Experience with SCADA software and/or MS Power BI dashboards
The pay range for this position is $139,100.00 - $251,450.00.
