HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance.
You will manage the Fund Administration (FA) team to develop and review the operating procedures for fund accounting and valuation, investment compliance monitoring, and report generation to clients (SITEs) and local authorities. You will assess existing systems and processes to identify system enhancement needs and work with the MIS manager to improve efficiency and services. You will train and coach the FA team to achieve their goals and objectives for each year. You will also handle customer enquiries on regulations and market practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure systems and services are the most efficient and effective available to provide services to clients.
- Keep up with the continuous introduction of new securities products, financial instruments, changing regulations, and rules in the market, and ensure that operations and control procedures are in place to handle Fund Administration operations and reporting for the products.
- Fully understand market practices, clients' requirements, and our capabilities to help complete clients' Request for Proposals and Services Level Agreements, which require constant monitoring to ensure compliance with client requirements.
- Exercise a high degree of flexibility to cope with unpredictable regulatory changes and client needs, manage uncertainty, and display strong leadership skills, interpersonal sensitivity, commercial sense, and a business-oriented mindset.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in business or a related area.
- Experience in Fund Administration or related Financial Services Operations.
- Strong understanding of derivatives and portfolio accounting.
- Advanced Excel and Word skills are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to accuracy, and a positive attitude.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Fund Administration operations and systems.
- Knowledge of securities and financial instruments regulations, products, and markets.
