Description
Ajax Systems, a global technology company and the largest European manufacturer of security systems, is seeking a new team member for its Video Devices division as a WiFi RF Engineer. The Video Devices division handles the entire development cycle of Ajax video devices, covering all stages from concept creation to mass production and scaling. The team focuses on creating a comprehensive product that combines mechanical design, hardware development, and low-level software integration for stable real-time system operation.
The development process involves deep expertise in optics, image quality, embedded systems, Wi-Fi and network technologies, as well as audio tuning. The division ensures complete vertical integration of all device components, creating technologically advanced solutions that meet ecosystem reliability standards and global industrial production requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an RF engineer or in a related field of wireless system development.
- Practical experience in developing and optimizing multi-band systems, including combinations of standards such as GSM/LTE, Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz, Bluetooth, and Sub-GHz technologies like LoRa/Zigbee.
- In-depth experience with Wi-Fi standards 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), including:
- Design and integration of antennas: selection, development (modeling), and optimization of embedded antennas (FPC, PCB, Ceramic).
- Testing and validation: antenna testing in an anechoic chamber to assess efficiency, gain, and radiation patterns.
- Proficiency in using professional RF equipment:
- Vector network analyzer (VNA) for measuring S-parameters (Return Loss, Insertion Loss).
- Spectrum analyzer for evaluating transmitter parameters (TX Power, Spectrum Mask, EVM).
- RF communication tester (e.g., Anritsu/Keysight) or Noise Figure Meter.
- Experience with powerful software complexes for electromagnetic modeling and circuit design: Keysight ADS, CST Studio, HFSS, or Cadence AWR (Microwave Office).
- Certification and EMC/EMI:
- Experience in solving Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Interference (EMI) issues at the circuit and tracing levels.
- Understanding of requirements and practical experience with international certification RED (CE) and FCC.
Responsibilities:
- The engineer will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the RF part of the product: from concept to mass production.
- Design and Modeling:
- Development, modeling, and finalization of antennas for serial products using EM simulators (HFSS, CST).
- Matching and optimization of RF paths (Matching Networks) to minimize losses and achieve 50 Ohm impedance.
- Component Selection and Optimization:
- Selection of optimal RF components and cost-effective solutions (RF chipsets, filters, PA, LNA) according to technical specifications.
- Selection of ready-made antenna solutions (modules) for specific project requirements.
- Testing and Validation:
- Comprehensive testing of RF system parameters (TX/RX performance) in in-house and external test laboratories.
- Analysis and elimination of causes of non-compliance of receiver/transmitter parameters with standard requirements.
- EMC/EMI and Certification:
- Modeling, verification, and testing of EMC/EMI complex integrated systems at the development stages.
- Consulting the certification department on RF requirements of standards (RED, FCC), processing relevant regulatory documents, and checking final test protocols.
- Production Support:
- Optimization of existing RF solutions to reduce costs.
- Development and implementation of methods for calibrating and testing RF parameters at the mass production stage.
We Offer:
- The opportunity to propose and implement your own ideas that impact the product and its mass production.
- A position in a rapidly growing company with a motivated professional team.
- Competitive salary.
- Medical insurance.
- Corporate English language classes.
- The chance to participate in the internal project of beta testing of Ajax security systems.
- Discounts from partner companies.
