Description
WSP is seeking a Full-Time Senior Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Technician for our Columbia, MD or York, PA office.
The successful candidate will visit client sites in the DMV area and may come into the office as needed. They will be involved in projects with our Property and Buildings Team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform testing, adjusting, and balancing to achieve proper operation of HVAC systems for institutional clients such as hospitals, labs, and higher education institutions.
- Conduct critical space testing to measure airflows and confirm room pressurization is correct, in addition to calculating air change rates directly for existing healthcare clients.
- Carry out pre-commissioning to confirm the installation of mechanical systems is in line with contract documents and owner's specifications.
- Perform functional performance testing to exercise HVAC equipment and confirm systems are operating as per design intent.
- Lead and supervise junior staff.
- Lead quality control of deliverables.
- Drive the team's pipeline by following up with outstanding proposals.
- Engage with clients to schedule manpower for projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- 9+ years of relevant testing and balancing field experience.
- NEBB certified technician.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC trade school training and/or certification.

Compensation:
- Expected salary: $85,000 - $130,000.
