Description
As a Lead Product Designer at Samsara, you'll own design for strategic initiatives within one of our product areas, building software that runs in various settings. You'll frame the problem, design and build the experience across web and mobile, and carry it through launch and iteration with your product and engineering partners.
You will:
- Lead large, ambiguous initiatives, from problem framing through launch and iteration.
- Demonstrate good judgement and taste in your deliverables.
- Regularly meet and engage with strategic customers to bring their feedback into product decisions.
- Leverage AI tools throughout the design process.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, tools, and technology.
- Ship code to production across the design system, web products, and mobile apps.
- Lead through building, not politics.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
- A portfolio with case studies showing your approach to ambiguous problems.
- Deep interaction and visual design skills.
- Experience with AI tools in your regular design practice.
- Experience mentoring designers.
- Direct customer research experience.
- Experience shipping with cross-functional teams on short cycles.
The compensation range for this role is $151,300-$195,800 CAD per year. The role is eligible for an initial RSU grant and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance.
